Are you going to come back and apologize after the election when you see that the few votes R. Terry gets will not make any difference in any state in the nation as to the final winner? You’re acting in fear and you’re condemning people based on your irrational fear. The point of voting for him is to try to make our votes count — to try to send a message to the corrupt godless (even if religious) politicians that make up most of the Republican party. As someone in a red state, and it’s winner takes all, there’s no way the electoral votes for the state won’t all go to Trump. The only way to actually make a statement with my vote is to vote for someone who’s obviously not going to win.
But let’s not kid ourselves: The two main candidates, and their VPs, are all pro baby-murder. I didn’t even know who the heck Vance was until I saw him on some news outlet saying that yes of course we want access to abortion drugs around the country. And Republicans around the country are now jumping on the bandwagon of wanting government funding for IVF, so that even more babies can die through your tax dollars. Wake up. The Republicans do not care about equal protection for the unborn. They never have. They don’t fear God, and they have no moral compass. In order to get folks to vote for them, they will tinker around the edges with regulation of baby murder instead of simply passing bills to outlaw it altogether. And even when an equal protection bill is put forward, the damned pro-LIFE industrial complex contacts the representatives and tells them not to support such bills. The pro-aborts don’t even have to lift a finger to kill these bills of equal protection. This has happened time and again in multiple states. Look at what happened in Louisiana. The bill was doing well and got voted out of committee. Then the pro-lifers (over 70 pro-life groups from around the nation signed on) sent out a letter to legislators around the country telling them that under no conditions should they support a bill of equal protection. The pro-war neocon jerk who’s now Speaker, Mike Johnson, personally had a hand in killing that bill through the contacts he made. He might think of himself as a Christian, but he’s got all kinds of blood on his hands.
Most baby murder happens well before 9 months in just the first few weeks. If you’re supporting someone who only wants to defend human life when it would look bad not to, you’re dealing with someone who is not remotely on the same page. Can you imagine them getting away with writing bills that say, for example, that you can traffic and sexually abuse kids only up to age 3, but that after that, there might be a nominal fine, unless you can show that you had an excuse? That, in essence, is the sort of crap that Republicans and pro-lifers are doing with their heartbeat bills. They are in fact codifying into law that a woman who kills her unborn child is never to be held accountable under any circumstances. That is, in fact, the pro-choice position, but being spouted from the lips of pro-life leaders. Just stop it with the sick pro-life industry and start supporting bills of equal protection and abolition. Your post seems to focus on “abortion”, but why would you treat this type of murder differently? Would you say about adult murder, “We can’t regulate righteousness”? That would miss the point. What about child trafficking? Rape? Would you say, “We can’t regulate righteousness”? Of course we have to regulate righteousness. That’s the whole point of the law and civil government.
The law is a tutor. It shows people what is right and wrong. Not all sins are crimes; it’s counterproductive to attempt to legislate thought-crimes, for example. But when people see how their lives measure up even on civil/criminal matters with their neighbors, and are held to account by earthly judges, they can reflect on their sinful condition and the reconciliation they need with the ultimate Judge. It exposes their need for a Savior, and can thus be part of the chain of things that God uses in leading his elect to faith and repentance.
Civil government is God’s servant to render vengeance on the wrongdoer (Romans 13). When evildoers are punished for crimes (sins with victims involved), it helps protect future would-be victims by causing people to fear the consequences of their actions. That can be a blessing both to would-be victims as well as would-be perpetrators. Good legislation not only seeks to punish evildoers but to restore them in society, for non-capital crimes, via restitution. Our evil nation has little notion of the Biblical concept of restitution; instead it just throws people in cages, with no restitution to the victims, and creates more victims of the taxpayers who now pay their room and board.
All nations “regulate righteousness”. The problem is that for the most part they have cut themselves off from the Creator and Judge who is the only right frame of reference for defining what is righteous. You say, “I love America and the freedom of choice we have.” The fact that we choose our government and this is what we have is damning. We deserve whatever judgments God brings upon us as a nation.
Trying to convey divine truth to someone who has never experienced spiritual rebirth is like asking a blind person to describe a color that they’ve never seen. It’s simply impossible. (John 3:3)
I love America and the freedom of choice we have. People will make their own choices, but our role is to warn them about those choices and God’s judgment. (Ezekiel 33:1-6) Sadly, our warning looks like hatred to them. (Romans 6:23)
Please keep sharing the videos that expose the reality of Sin.
We can’t regulate righteousness; it only comes through the grace of Christ Jesus, who forgave us of our sins. Through Him, we walk in His righteousness to know what pleases God. Roman 12:2.
